Your Grief Journey
Find Happiness and Joy Again!
In 2022, I faced the sudden and heartbreaking loss of my son, Vincent. The emotional toll was profound, and in the aftermath, I found myself navigating overwhelming feelings of shock, deep heart wrenching grief, disbelief, and numbness. While I was surrounded by a loving and supportive family, much of the responsibility for managing the necessary planning fell to me. Our bond was exceptionally close, and it felt only natural that I would take on these tasks. However, the weeks following Vincent’s passing were a blur of confusion and mental fog—memory lapses, an inability to focus, and difficulty recalling even basic details, became my new reality.
Vincent’s passing occurred just before Thanksgiving 2022, and I have no recollection of that first Christmas without him. No one anticipates the sudden loss of a loved one, and even if there were a manual to guide you through such a devastating experience, it’s likely one would never want to read it. Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross’s five stages of grief are well-known, but they are not a linear progression, and they do not fully capture the complexities of such an experience. In the midst of profound grief, I found myself wrestling with a whirlwind of emotions—intense sadness, anger, denial, despair, and disbelief—while simultaneously walking through the days in a fog of numbness.
If you’re reading this, you may be feeling similarly—caught in a haze of grief or, perhaps, struggling with emotions that linger long after the fog has lifted. You may have noticed that those around you no longer mention the name of your loved one, unsure of how to approach you, or fearing that they might say something to cause you further pain. Worse yet, some may even tell you it’s time to "move on" or "get over it," leaving you feeling isolated and misunderstood.
At The Vincent Wellness Collective, I am here to walk alongside you through this challenging journey. I will guide you in navigating the difficult process of integrating loss into your life, helping you transform this experience into a meaningful part of your new reality. Together, we will explore the emotions and challenges that often accompany grief—such as guilt, regret, altered relationships, and the desire for a change in direction—while working towards finding healing, peace, and even a renewed sense of purpose.
I offer both individual and group sessions to suit your needs. Whether you prefer one-on-one support or a shared experience with others on a similar journey, my goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can find solace and support, and eventually, JOY!
